Consultation and Examination

It’s normal to feel apprehensive when going somewhere new for the first time, especially when you are not sure what to expect.  For that reason I do my best to make you feel welcome and relaxed on your first visit and answer any questions or concerns you have.  

Discovery Consultation 

A Discovery Consultation is a conversation, not a commitment.  A 15 minute appointment, free of charge, for you to meet the chiropractor, ask questions and then decide if you wish to have a Consultation & Examination.  There is usually space after a Discovery Consultation to have the Consultation & Examination right away. 

Consultation & Examination 

This involves looking at your health history and a physical examination to determine the current state of your spine and nerves. A 45 minute appointment. 

The Examination is a comprehensive one and includes:

• Complete chiropractic nervous system and spinal examination 
• Computerised neuroCORE scan (sEMG)
• Computerised neuroPULSE scan (HRV)
• Digital Neuro-Structural analysis
• Neuro-spinal sub-system parameter analysis
• Any additional relevant tests indicated from your health history e.g. blood pressure

The purpose of the  Examination is to determine the integrity of your spine, nerves, muscles, fascia (connective tissues) and ligaments; how they are currently handling your life; and how that can be improved. 

You will be given a gown and privacy to change, so that your spine can be examined gently and thoroughly. 

If x-ray or MRI are necessary, I can refer you privately to  have these done.

After the Examination, you then have your Results Review at a follow-up appointment.  This involves reviewing the examination findings of your spinal and nerve health, and what it will take to recover your health and upgrade your spine and nerve function.
